Project
Köln, Germany 2006
The Herz Jesu church is located right at the centre of Cologne at Zülpicher Square. It has not been used as a parish church for years. In cooperation with local actors we developed concepts to convert the monument protected church building into a café and meeting point for young people using minimal building measures and flexible fittings.
Berlin/Halle an der Saale/Halle-Neustadt, Germany 2002
"This project involved designing urban development strategies within the context of urban shrinkage. Essential aspects of the diversification process within this district were: to attract attention to smaller urban elements using the “Kolorado Plan”, to include residents in the development process and to initiate negotiation processes using developmental objectives and means.
Wittenberge, Germany 2004
Industrial withdrawal has led Wittenberge to become a shrinking city. A representative site in the city centre remains unbuilt. Our contribution to the competition suggests planting a birch copse to close the empty space. “The Nest”, a lookout tower above the trees, establishes a connection between the town centre and the neighbouring Elbe water meadows.
Berlin, Germany 2002
