Noch immer arm, aber nicht mehr sexy! Hintergrund für diese Untersuchung ist die Studie ArtCityLab - Neue Räume für die Kunst, die 2012-14 in Kooperation mit der Senatsverwaltung für Stadtentwicklung und Umwelt und dem Berufsverband Bildender Künstler Berlin (bbk Berlin) entstand. Gegenstand der Untersuchung war grundlegende Veränderung des räumlichen Angebotes für künstlerische Produktion.

The Vila Itororó is an architectural ensemble of more than ten buildings created by Francisco de Castro over the course of the twentieth-century. The villa stands out for its unusual architecture in an urban Gap located on the banks of the Itororó Valley between the district Liberdade and Bela Vista in the downtown of Sāo Paulo. It was declared an area of public interest in 2006 after being abandoned for a while. Where after it was expropriated and converted into public usage for cultural purposes.
